Business Information for the Self Directed Search

I was looking for some information for a local business today and went to Hickman County Economic & Community Development’s www.business.hickmantn.org website to quickly find it. While on the site, I did my periodic check to make sure all the links were active and added value. One website that particularly wowed me was www.business.gov, “The Official Business Link to the U.S. Government.” Their description does not do the website justice as it is a lot more than a website from the government that is here to help you. Not only does it tell about rules, regulations and filing taxes, but it also has drill down access to business planning, marketing, and other entrepreneur development assistance. Business.gov even links to state and local business websites along with short, suggested direction to compliance and business success. Business.hickmantn.org focuses on business in Hickman County in a concise format, but www.business.gov is one link it includes where you can find more in depth entrepreneurial resources.
