Minnie will be just so proud to return here….

I am still not sure if the Minnie Pearl statue that was spirited away to a hotel in Linden (USA Today article) will be returning to the downtown Centerville public square, but she would and you definitely will be pleasantly surprised at the results of the Centerville Downtown Revitalization when it is finished this summer. Traffic flow will be improved and there will be more green space and places to relax as you visit and walk around the historic courthouse square.

If you drive through Linden you might think they are, but the Hickman County Chamber of Commerce is responsible for a lot of other stuff going missing in the county. Trash along the roads of Hickman County is becoming scarce as the chamber and the local county solid waste department has engaged non-profit organizations in a county-wide clean-up competition making Hickman County even more beautiful. Not only do they collect and properly dispose of the roadside trash, but they also sort out the recyclables to make this a green clean-up.
