“Sitting in that meeting [of the Funding Board] today was a little bit encouraging, to see the revenues are coming up. We’re still going to have to make cuts, but today was encouraging,” said Tennessee Finance Commissioner Mark Emkes. The State Funding Board is expected to release its opinion on state revenue projections tomorrow. These projections will be used in the completion of Governor Haslam’s budget plan that is scheduled to be presented to the General Assembly on March 14th.
