An app today connects to our customer today?

Okay, I’ve put it off long enough. I am going to get me one of those MySpace pages. What? Technology usage has changed. What else is new?

I am certainly using my iPhone a lot and this article, “Mobile Apps Will Drive the Future of the Internet“, chronicles that many other people are using mobile devices more. In 2009, mobile devices accounted for only 1% of internet traffic and recently that is up to 10%.

Content designed for computers is certainly mighty important – obviously that 90%. As economic development organizations trying to connect people (business people, tourists, workforce talent, etc.) to our communities and as businesses trying to connect to their customers, that 10% of traffic is probably much more immediate to that all important final decision.

Something else to learn more about.
